5.0 out of 5 stars Does all you'd expect, September 7, 2012

I wanted a cheap, effective microwave and this one fits the bill perfectly.
I've only used the basic settings but it's about $50 cheaper than buying a similar model from Best Buy/Target

It's a low end microwave...the cheapest, highest rated one I could find at the time (when my other low end microwave died after 10+ years of service).

Nothing really to beam about. It does what it is supposed to in the time expected for a low power device. But, I do have some complaints...though nothing offensive enough to warrant returning it.

1. brand new, out of the box it wobbled on my countertop. no adjustable legs to fix the issue. so, I affixed some spongy rubber pads to the front two sheet metal indentations which function as the front feet. this actually fixed the wobble and the next complaint: the device's weight is less than that required to open the door, causing it to slide every time the door is opened/closed. But, the rubber feet add enough friction to make it a non issue.

2. slight uneven heating issue even with a rotating glass turntable: Morning breakfast I usually toss 5-6 frozen, precooked sausage links on a paper plate. Time in the... Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars I should've listened to the poor reviews..., January 13, 2013

I needed a microwave with a small footprint, and this one fit the bill.

However, there's a significant flaw: the glass plate is missing the 3 protrusions on the bottom that would allow it to fit into the spinner at the base of the oven, so that the plate moves around constantly, with nothing to hold it in place. So, whenever you remove something from the oven, the glass plate is likely to come with it. Also, you need to carefully position the plate while microwaving, or else the plate moves off-center, and the items you're cooking won't spin correctly.

Like another reviewer, I miss the setting that my full-sized microwave has, such as a minute button.

I'm returning mine. Not recommended.
